Transfair, Marth und Partner came into being in 1994 through an advertisement placed in the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper by the founder, Ute Marth. The idea originated in the wish to combat the sense of isolation which comes with translation work; it starts with the text, there is the translator and the dictionary (obviously today also the Internet). To have an exchange of ideas and also to be able to help each other out. This form of collaboration was not so common 20 years ago, although now the idea of double-checking, two heads being better than one, is recognised as providing better quality.

As other companies do, we started in a small way and built up our customer base over time. Further information can be seen on our page “References”. The majority of our clients are international companies, but we are just as happy to translate certificates and other documents of a private nature. In order to ensure that our translations into other languages take the latest linguistic developments into consideration, we work together with many translators who work in their country of origin, e.g., France, Italy, Spain, USA and Brazil.

Our expertise covers a lot of areas and our pool of translators is always under review to correspond to the needs of our clients. We have gained long years of experience in economy and finance (banking and stock exchange), IT, environment (alternative energy), industry and technology (furniture), media and art (advertising), politics and legal.

We offer our clients an individual service which is made to measure according to your needs. Good quality is ensured by means of well-defined workflows. This includes translation carried out by competent native speakers with corresponding expertise, double-checking, keeping to deadlines and consulting with the client. Being in constant contact with the client is important in enabling us to provide individual service along with high-quality translations. Using the same translator for each client ensures continuity of standards.
